The UFC is working on a bantamweight fight between Sean O’Malley and Pedro Munhoz, sources told ESPN on Tuesday.

The 135-pound bout is expected to be finalized shortly. It will take place at UFC 276 on July 2 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

O’Malley (15-1) is 5-1 in the UFC with five knockouts. Fighting out of Glendale, Arizona, he is already a fan favorite and is currently ranked No. 13, but he has not fought anyone ranked inside the UFC’s top 10.

That will change against Munhoz (19-7), who has been one of the most consistent bantamweights in the UFC for years. He is ranked No. 10 in the bantamweight division.

Munhoz is 1-4 in his past five fights; however, all four losses came against current or former UFC champions: Dominick Cruz, Jose Aldo, Frankie Edgar and Aljamain Sterling.
