Cricket

MS Dhoni‘s impact and charm over cricket, especially IPL, is not coming to an end anytime soon. Ahead of IPL 2024, the 42-year-old wicketkeeper-batter stepped down as the skipper of Chennai Super Kings but still continues to dominate the game with his presence. His recent bashing of Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya with a hattrick of sixes, left all the fans and crickets experts stunned. Dhoni is everyday trying to keep up with his age and setting new examples for the coming generation.

Amid all this action, another thing in everyone’s mind is the probable retirement of Dhoni from the IPL. Everyone is curious to know whether the 42-year-old will continue to play for CSK in IPL 2025.

Recently, former CSK batter Suresh Raina, who is one of the commentators with Jio Cinema, was asked, “Will Dhoni play another season of IPL?”

Raina gave a strong, one-word answer, “Khelenge. (He will play)”.

Former India pacer RP Singh, who was also a part of the panel, smiled to Raina’s confident response and said that now it seems MSD has two more seasons left in him.

Earlier, Raina also revealed the CSK star’s reaction upon hearing Bhojpuri commentary. Dhoni hails from Jharkhand.

“MS Dhoni was discussing Bhojpuri commentary. He said, ‘Bahut hi gajabe commentary kar rahe Bhojpuriya me.’ (they are doing a great job in Bhojpuri) I told him Haryanvi is also nice,” Raina revealed while speaking on Jio Cinema.

Talking about the game against arch-rivals MI, Dhoni slammed a four-ball 20 in IPL’s El Clasico.
