Sources: Warriors giving Hield $21M guaranteed

NBA

Buddy Hield is joining the Golden State Warriors in a sign-and-trade deal with the Philadelphia 76ers that guarantees him two years and $21 million, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Thursday.

Hield will receive $18 million in the first two years and a $3 million partial guarantee for 2026-27 as well as a player option for non-guaranteed fourth year, sources said.

Sources said the Warriors will send the 76ers a 2031 second-round pick as part of the deal.

Hield averaged 12.1 points across 84 games for the Indiana Pacers and 76ers last season, after Philadelphia acquired him in a deadline week trade.

One of the league’s elite 3-point shooters, Hield made 38.9% of his 3-point attempts for Philadelphia during the regular season before struggling in the playoffs outside of hitting six 3s in the 76ers’ season-ending loss to the New York Knicks in Game 6 of their first-round series.

ESPN’s Tim Bontemps contributed to this report.
