With its West Coast swing in the books, the PGA Tour heads south of the border this week for the Mexico Open at VidantaWorld in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. A field of 132 golfers tee it up at the Greg Norman-designed Vidanta Vallarta Course for a share of a $7 million purse. The winner will go home with $1.26 million. Jake Knapp returns to defend his crown, having won the event last season despite losing a four-shot lead in seven holes and hitting just two fairways during the final round — the fewest in the last round of a PGA Tour victory in the past 40 years. Knapp enters the week coming off his best result of the season. He tied for 17th at The Genesis Invitational.
