Nagy commits to Fields as Bears’ starting QB

NFL

Rookie Justin Fields will remain the Chicago Bears‘ starting quarterback going forward this season, coach Matt Nagy announced Wednesday.

Nagy had previously said veteran Andy Dalton would regain the starting job once he was healthy enough to return from a knee injury that has sidelined him the past two weeks.

Fields led the Bears to a 24-14 victory over the Detroit Lions last Sunday in his second start of the season.

So far this season, Fields has completed 25 of 52 pass attempts (48.1%) for 347 yards and two interceptions. He also has rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown.
