LeBron, AD doubtful for Lakers on Tues. vs. Mavs

NBA

LeBron James and Anthony Davis will both be listed as doubtful for Tuesday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers coach Frank Vogel said after practice Monday.

Davis went through a full, live practice for the first time since suffering a mid-foot sprain on Feb. 16 against the Utah Jazz.

James did not participate in practice, Vogel said. The Lakers star stayed back at the hotel to undergo treatment on the left ankle sprain he sustained in L.A.’s loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday.

Vogel said the timing of Davis readying for a return just as James is dealing with another injury that could keep him out of the lineup fits with the “snakebit” nature of the Lakers’ season.

L.A. is currently No. 10 in the Western Conference standings, holding a one-game lead over the No. 11 San Antonio Spurs for the final play-in tournament spot with eight games left to play.
