India Women vs UAE Women Live Updates: UAE have lost three early wickets after India set them a target of 179 in the Women’s Asia Cup today. Rajeshwari Gayakwad struck twice, while there was one run-out. India themselves had got off to a horror start with the bat as they lost three early wickets, but a 128-run partnership between Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma took them to a strong total of 178/5 against UAE in the Women’s Asia Cup. Rodrigues finished unbeaten on 75 off 45 deliveries, while Deepti made 64 off 49. Pooja Vastrakar and KP Navgire also struck some meaty blows at the death to help India post a strong total. India opted to bat and experimented with their batting lineup, with stand-in captain Smriti Mandhana not coming out to the middle at all. Richa Ghosh was sent to open alongside Sabbhineni Meghana in the absence of Shafali Verma, who was rested along with regular captain Harmanpreet Kaur, but she fell for a golden duck. Meghana, who scored a half-century yesterday against Malaysia, also fell early before Dayalan Hemalatha’s run-out left India three down early. But Jemimah and Deepti batted brilliantly to ensure the early collapse did not stop India from posting a strong total. (LIVE SCORECARD)
