Ravens QB Jackson near unanimous pick for MVP

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was named the NFL MVP on Thursday night, the second time he’s won the award in the last five seasons.

Jackson received 493 points in the voting, with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott finishing second with 152 points.

Jackson received 49 first-place votes with Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen receiving the other. (Allen finished fifth in the voting.)

Jackson, who was named the unanimous MVP in 2019, is the 11th player in NFL history to win multiple MVPs. He accomplished the feat in six seasons, tied with Patrick Mahomes & Brett Favre for third-fewest in NFL history.
