LeBron (illness) ruled out for Lakers vs. Wolves

NBA

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is out for Sunday night’s home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to flu-like symptoms.

The Lakers, in a battle for playoff seeding with several other Western Conference teams, enter the matchup having won nine of their past 10 games. James has played in every game but three since the All-Star break.

Anthony Davis (knee) is listed as probable.

The game is pivotal for the Timberwolves, as well; a win would put them ahead of the Denver Nuggets for the No. 1 seed in the West.
