Dutch rider Lorena Wiebes clinched the RideLondon Classique title after winning each of the race’s three stages.

Wiebes, 25, headed into the third stage on Sunday with a 20-second lead over Belgium’s world champion Lotte Kopecky in the general classification.

Wiebes took the 91.2km third stage, which ended on The Mall in London, in two hours, seven minutes and 17 seconds.

It is the third time Wiebes has won the title in her career.

“Hat-tricks are always hard to do,” she said. “I am happy to be unbeatable in London.”

Her compatriot Charlotte Kool finished second in the third stage with Kopecky third, both riders recording the same time as Wiebes.

Wiebes’ overall time in the general classification was nine hours, 46 minutes and 33 seconds.

Kool finished 25 seconds slower in second overall, while Kopecky came third a further second behind.

Alongside the professional riders, more than 21,500 cyclists rode in a mass participation cycle on Sunday.
