Sources: Bridges back to Hornets on $75M deal

NBA

Free agent forward Miles Bridges is returning to the Charlotte Hornets on a three-year, $75 million deal, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Saturday.

Bridges pleaded no contest to a felony domestic violence charge in Nov. 2022 that took place earlier that year, and while he avoided jail time, he was sentenced to three years of probation.

He didn’t play the entire 2022-23 season, then was suspended for the first 10 games of last season.

Bridges, who had a breakout season in 2021-22, averaged career highs in points (21), rebounds (7.3) and usage percentage (24.2%) this past year.

Bridges, 26, played last season on a one-year qualifying offer worth $7.9 million, which allowed him to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

ESPN’s Tim Bontemps contributed to this report.
