How to follow Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on the BBC

The 2024 Formula 1 season is almost over with the Yas Marina Circuit hosting the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – the final race on the calendar – from 6-8 December.

The drivers’ championship was wrapped up in Las Vegas last month when Max Verstappen sealed a fourth consecutive title.

However, the constructors’ championship is still up for grabs with McLaren and Ferrari battling it out for the trophy.

Commentary will be available across BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra, BBC Sounds and the BBC Sport website and app.

The early forecast suggests clear skies and warm conditions throughout the weekend in Abu Dhabi.

It is expected to be dry for the practice sessions, qualifying and the race itself, with temperatures around 29C.

The constructors’ championship battle is now a two-horse race with McLaren and Ferrari battling it out.

McLaren are top of the standings going into the weekend with a 21-point lead, with 44 up for grabs in Abu Dhabi.

If they finished level on points then the team with the most wins would take the title – McLaren and Ferrari currently both have five victories each.

The next tie-breaker if that tally remained level is the number of second places – McLaren lead Ferrari 10-4 on that count.
