Team principal Christian Horner says Red Bull have “never been stronger” after he was cleared of inappropriate and controlling behaviour towards a female colleague.

An internal Red Bull investigation cleared the 50-year-old on Wednesday.

The season begins with the Bahrain Grand Prix first practice on Thursday.

“We’re here now very much to focus on the grand prix and the season ahead and trying to defend both of our titles,” Horner told Sky Sports.

“I am pleased the process is over but I obviously can’t comment about it.”

Asked if the team were unified, he said: “Within the team it has never been stronger.”

Details of the allegations emerged on 5 February. Red Bull began an investigation and Horner denied the allegations.

On 15 February he told the BBC it was a “distraction” for the team, who have not revealed details of the allegations or the investigation.

The complainant can appeal against the verdict.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen won the drivers’ world title last year and Red Bull won the team championship thanks to 21 wins from 22 races.
